Yay Wings!!! That was a great game. I wish all six were as good as the last two, but I'll take what I can get. That last minute was once again a great demonstration of hockey skill, but I stand by what I have been saying since Monday that the Penguins were broken after game 5. The Wings beat the living daylights out of them and they were physically just done. They have a team of really young players and just to get this far is a testament of their skill, but it just wasn't enough to take something that the Red Wings wanted so badly. What a great season...

I couldn't agree more,they should have won it in game 5 ,only if they could have protected the lead 35 seconds longer,but hey they finally got it anyways.

I couldn't agree more!!!! Honestly, I'm a Blues fan, but once they are out of the picture (which seems to be every year anymore), my eyes turn to Detroit! Detroit are always strong, always physical and almost always dominate. I wish STL's coaching staff would learn something from them.

And my wife hates, hates, HATES...the Red Wings so she was givin' me grief all this time now. Basically, she likes two teams...her St. Louis Blues and any team that 'beats' the Red Wings. LOL

Anyway...3 cheers to the Detroit Red Wings for an exciting victory and and even more exciting playoff season!!

The Blues are a great team to watch play the Wings. The three matchups that I absolutely love are when it is the Wings and either the Avs, Blues, or Stars. I loved watching Dallas hockey because at the time they were the best fighters in the league and the games were always really exciting. The Avs just have a terrific rivalry with the Wings and the Blues are just great players. I just wish I had a pro team closer to me that I could go watch. I caught a Sharks vs Wings game once when I was out in San Jose, but that is the only pro game I've been to since I left Dallas ten years ago. If I can get tickets to an Avs vs Wings game then I'd do whatever it took to be there, but chances of that are slim since there isn't another matchup of any team in the region that will sell out faster than that one. lol
