This car has been my fathers car for about 30 years. He used to drive it daily and then he decided to fully restore it (it used to be pebble beach perfect) and have it as a sunday driver. My father has been deeply in love with this car ever since we had it but now doesnt have the attachment to it. Along with we need to pay off some bills. So we are selling it (19k i believe he is asking).



This car has a few factory mods to it. I do not know the number of how many there were made but i know there were very few. Everything is stock.



This detail is not finished but i could use some advise on a few problems so i decided to post the parts that im doing up as i do them.



This is how the front trunk looked upon opening it.

I then removed the rubber and cleaned it.

This was where the car was showing a little age. What would you guys use to remove the most rust but to also be safe.

I now have two hours into the car.



I am going to zpc all the paint by hand (in the front hood).





I forgot to get a lot of after pics due to mothers day and prep for dinner.

I will do something similar to my 914 detail after dinner tonight.
 
Daniel....the best rust product I have used is POR15....I use it on ATV frames and mine was done 4 years ago and not a rust bloom since....use the metal ready from them first to clean and coat [its like a primer/converter] the area then use the POR15 over it....not cheap stuff but works....

Ospho is a rust converter that can be found at paint supply stores. I have also seen it at some hardware stores. Check your local auto part store they may have similar rust converters
