The Lake Country Hybrid Power Finish pads have become a favorite among the many FLEX 3401 users out there, and for a really good reason. The firm, high-density foam works extremely well with the Flex's forced rotation to deliver extremely fast paint polishing results.

Many customers asked for a pad to fit between the light-cutting abililty of the White Hybrid Pad and the finishing ability of the Black Hybrid Pad. Lake Country responded with their newest formula, the light-polishing Yellow Pad.

How does this pad compare to other LC pads as far as aggressiveness goes?
Would you say it's roughly equivalent to the green CCS pad?

Will you be updating the aggressiveness chart with this pad?

Maybe you did already, I haven't checked yet...

I haven't had any issues with that. I do wish, however, that the yellow pads didn't disintegrate so easily. None of the other hybrid pads do this.

Just keep them away from washer nozzles and such (they'll shred like floral foam), as well as ridges like you'd find on the roof of a SUV. Also, don't let product build up on them or they'll develop radial cracks and start shedding foam.

Really though, these tips apply to other pads as well, it just seems the yellow ones are much more sensitive.

Follow these and you should be just fine. I still buy the pads myself, so in no way am I suggesting people avoid them.

The "orange" and "blue" pads here are the exact colors of the Hydro-Shred Cyan and Tangerine pads...

Back when life was much simpler, L/C's most aggressive foam pad was Yellow... It really worked great, and you could literally wear it down to more than half its original size and it would still cut really good..

Now, yellow is one of the finer pads before going to no cut at all....

I think I still have some of those yellow-most-aggressive L/C pads.
