The merging of Truth in Detailing with AutopiaForums...

Todd@RUPES

Just a regular guy
The merging of Truth in Detailing with Autopia-CarCare and autopiaFORUMS is the natural evolution of our community. Truth in Detailing was started by Proper Auto Care as an open community to discuss products of all types and was a potent force in keeping the free-flow of detailing information alive. Many members made significant contributions and it would be a shame to let that information fade away.

Palm Beach Motoring Group acquired rights to Proper Auto Care and is dedicated to doing the site, various lines, and the information justice. While Truth in Detailing is on hiatus we have parked it here to allow the knowledge to live on indefinitely.

Another great benefit to having Truth in Detailing on site is that many of the members who had accounts on both sites can choose to have their accounts merged. This would give credit in post counts to those devoted their time to educate and help others. PM myself or another moderator and we will merge the accounts at your discretion. It is up to you, other wise your autopiaFORUMS.com screen name will remain your default.

Thank you everybody who continues to make this place great as we continue to grow in a new direction dedicated to the open discussion of all things detailing.

feels like a cool place to be. thank you for sharing your knowledge with everyone on here & good luck with your new position. cant wait to see what you are working on in your next wild adventure writeup.

The way you say "TID is on hiatus" makes me think there's a plan to bring it back to life on its own at some point? Does that mean when it does come back this forum will cease to exist instead, or does it mean there will be yet another PBMG-owned forum and store branded as PAC/TID?

This whole situation just seems very odd to me on a number of levels. Not sure what Max's world domination plans are but I'll be very interested to see how things play out in the long run.

Other than a bump in post counts, are there any other benefits from merging the two accounts?

You will be able find all your post under one account. So if your a detailer and if someone ones to see all your work it would be helpfull to merge the accounts
