The 'man who changed the world'

Cancer sure sucks, doesn't it?

Bill Gates sends his condolences...

Change the world he did indeed... but the question becomes whether or not he changed it for the better. Sure, smartphones are incredibly useful devices and I'd never want to be without one now that I have it, but at the same time look at how many accidents are caused by drivers glued to the screen of their iPhone even while behind the wheel.

What's really too bad is he died the day after his company took major heat and criticism over the iPhone 4S launch event.

An adopted, unwanted kid. He became a self made man that had personal ideals that guided him to the way he led his life. I admire his philosophy.

"Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma -- which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary."

-Steve Jobs, 2005 Stanford commencement speech.

The full speech is powerful. Worth a listen.
