Don
Darth Camaro 12/27/15
Most of you know that my Camaro has 166,100 miles on it. One of the things that has really taken a beating is my driver`s side floor mat. Being a manual transmission, that means A LOT of clutch work with my left foot, which = A huge hole in the mat ... at least it hasn`t affected the actual CARPETING at all yet.
A new set of factory mats, run $72 (for 2), not including shipping or tax, more than I want to spend. So I posted a picture of the mat on the Fackbook page of the club and asked for help. Two days later, another member said he had a set of front floor mats for a 5th gen Camaro, STILL IN THE ORIGINAL PLASTIC, and would take $30 for them. The only `catch` was that I had to drive an hour to his town to pick them up ... I was on the road before my computer finished shutting down!
So I braved midday traffic and arrived at the meeting location. We traded mats for cash, and I opened the plastic to find they were an EXACT MATCH for my stock mats
I haven`t put them in yet, because I still have to shampoo the floors up front (can`t have brand new mats on a dirty floor now, can we?).
Here`s a few pics:
