So I make all my employees wear safety googles. I almost never wear them my self and they were giving me a hard time so I bought some! Hey safety first!

Now I feel safe!

I admit I need to wear them alot more often too, but just don't. I have a pair of Edge copper-tone lens that I wear for carpentry outdoors (contacts and sawdust is a serious no-no), but never think of getting a pair of clear lens.

After getting a piece of steel in my eye while milling on a Bridgeport some 30 years ago was a real eye opener! I had to have it surgically removed and luckily I have no after affects or lingering eye issues......

Remember; Safety is no accident!! :bigups

Those look great.. The green rim's are perfect!

Too much stuff floating around (chemicals/abrasives) not to wear eye protection. It only takes one slip up and your done. Goofy pictures :rofl but great thread! :bigups

Are those certified safety glasses? Looks more like dime store stuff to me. No offence intended, just a question.

I didn't wear safety glasses for a long time, but in one day I got an eyeful of adhesive solvent and then some fresh wool fibers coated with metal polish, both in the same eye. No long term issues except some SERIOUS pain. Lesson learned.

ouch! i dont wear them either & i dont wear gloves. a long time ago while working at the body shop... i was using lq thinner to scrub the old adhesive off the molding from the foam tape... i was sitting down on a milk crate doing this while i spilled some thinner on my crotch & yea...it burns. i had a temp hot pants moment & it didnt feel so good. lesson learned, be more carefull with thinner & make sure not to spill it on myself! :wall
