I know a lot of fire services have EMT and even medics on board, but so many people symbolize EMS with just the first responders and not the actual crews that transport and provide outstanding patient care. I see tons of these videos roll around every year and none include the life of an ambulance crew. We are the forgotten part of EMS... and we ARE Ems!
Been a medic for 3 years and EMT several before that, and while I truly appreciate LEO and FIRE, I know the reality of patient care and the sacrifices those crews make over the other services. We often go 24 hours without sleep, some days without food for hours and hours at a time, and often thankless when we provide some of the hardest work of any emergency responders. And getting off duty on time... forget about it...
Thank you Ron for sharing this, just want to encourage everyone to remember we don`t just drive an ambulance.
We are the people Leo and fire call when they get sick or hurt
thank you all for your service!
