The first 2010 Porsche Panamera on Autopia by (Eric) Howareb and (DJ) Got Leather

Yesterday around lunch time I was at Eric's shop working on an SL600 doing my thing in the back and I heard a car pull up. After taking a peek out the window I was happy to see it was the new Porsche Panamera. The customer came in, talked for a few and decided just a quick wash/wax type of deal was in order since he drives this 4-5 days a week. After the winter clears, it will be coming back in for the full polishing job to seek its truest potential.

The customer went into the waiting room, had some coffee, enjoyed some ESPN and Eric and I were on the way. This took roughly 1 hour to complete.

We washed the car using Optimum Car Wash via 2BM with Grout Sponge.

Dried using DI Waffle Weave Drying Towels.

There were a few areas that the dealer left to be undesired but since the owner was waiting for the car we did a very very light polishing with the PC and Optimum Poli-Seal on Speed 5. Eric did the entire car with PS and I made my way back around with Optimum Instant Detailer to wipe away and make sure everything was neat.

This is also the 500hp V8 4.8 liter Twin Turbo model with the AWD. The owner tells me with the right driver the 0-60 time is under 4 seconds with a stock 1/4 mile time of mid 11's.

We didn't do anything to the engine but I knew I wouldn't hear the end of it if I didn't at least get a picture.

Not even 500 miles.

Poli-Seal is a great AIO product. Looks good on it's own too.

The passenger side had the most defects which is another reason it will be back shortly when we both have more time and the owner can drop off.

As always, thank you for taking time to view our work.

Nice,

Its funny I always thought this car was ugly but I changed my mind once I saw one on the road. Def. not an Aston Martin but pics really don't do the car any justice.

Compared to the Aston they are two totally different type of machines. This is really an awsome car in its own right. The owner picked this car up the day that we were expecting about 12-20 inches of snow. He said that it drove like a dream even in the snow.

I really liked this owners attitude about his car because he was just so cool about his ride and apprecieted the quaility work that we put into it.. We pointed out some areas of concern and he was like no problem, we can take care of that at a later date.

PS also Everyone - I am hiring DJ as my Press Secretary since I have no time to ever post any threads. With a business, 2yr. old and a wife, my time is pretty limited. BufferBarry, I do not know how you do it man. :)

Thanks for sharing DJ/Eric!

I'm not sure I'm sold on the looks yet, but it's definitely one mean machine! :2thumbs:

looks like you washed the car. whoopty freaking doo. want a cookie?

Actually they washed a $130,000 car using proper wash media and technique, and also polished the car with an AIO. This may not be the mother of all corrections jobs, but 99% of us here can still appreciate the thread.

If you were be sarcastic disregard the above! :D

For real! I hope he was being sarcastic, 5 post and he comes up in here acting like a douche bag?:nomore:

My guess is that SL600 hooptie you're working on, would've busted it's @ss. You should've run him. I hear the black ones are fast. ;) :chuckle:

Pretty Porsche. Love or hate styling, that's for sure.

True..however the interior had a lot more lights and switches. It even had this one button that said "press this if you want to keep up with Torquey Benzo-s" I guess that it was some kind of Quad Turbo function or something. (HEHE)

Obvisouly I am just kidding. I remeber reading about this car in a magazine and it really had to grow on me. However, after seeing the car in person, I really was impressed with it

I'm still undecided on the looks, its just sort of bland, but I guess it was supposed to be. Nice work, I love Poli-seal, very wet looking for what it is.

Meh. Quad-shmod.... :D

I'm sure once DJ is done polishing the SL600, it'll pickup at least another .10 in the 1/4 mile. I hear Menzerna gives you the most horsepower, but I could be wrong.

This seems like an appropriate time to post this: :D

Impressive... Your Benzo is definitley a sleeper. It has that classic Benzo styling for sure with an engine that is explosive and will surprise most.

But as far as Menzerna giving you an extra .10 in the quarter mile, unfortunatly the weight of the LSP that DJ is going to add will take off another .11 of a sec. so you will almost be back where you started anyway. :)

Hey DJ, maybe next time you can key the car and take a dump on the inside to make it look like you worked harder?
