The Duospur, shaping foam, and the LC Flat Pad

While searching I cam across a couple of old threads (Yes Setec, you were in them) on the subject. Anyhow I have had this Duospur tool now for a couple of years and never had a reason to try the foam cutter feature. Today however I had a green LC CCS pad that was starting to come apart anyway so I thought that I would give this tool a shot.

It seemded to work pretty well, however I think that it would work the best on a flat pad. It shaped the foam back to an even surface, so that I could get some more use out of it. I am not sure if the performance of the pad is hindered, but I guess that I will find out when I use the pad again.

Come to think of it where in the heck do you find LC flat pads. I miss them. It seems like everything is a CCS pad. Has anyone else used the Duospur with a LC CCS Foam Pad.

Man, I get no respect. I tell you, I'm alright now, but yesterday I was in rough shape....

EDIT: I seriously have no idea what you are talking about in this thread, but maybe this will help you: http://www.autopia.org/forum/autogeek-net/113921-lake-country-flat-pads-back.html

That helps Setec on one item. Thanks I will have to stock up on them.

The other item was kind of obscure, but I am asking has anyone re-shaped their CCS pads using the duospur with success.

If by "reshape" you mean turn it into a low profile pad then yup :xyxthumbs

Must've cut 1/2" layer or so of dead pad off my older ones to make it "new" again. Works quite well though :)
