heya guys and gals

i was just wondering what would be the best solution for my car while its exposed to the elements?? my car will be out from monday till friday each week... what the go with "breathable" car covers? are they needed in a climate which is usually hot and humid (with some tropical rain)?

what kinda price should i be budgeting for?

are they hard to remove/apply? (lol - sounds like a wax!!!)

should i leave the windows cracked while under the car cover?

as you can see i'm an entire newbie to the car cover business and would like to get it right first time.

thanks in advance!

p.s. - didn't really know where to put this thread... therefore i stuck it in the university forum!

liam- I've gotten away from using covers, but I will say that you generally oughta buy the best cover you can afford. None of the "features" like breathability, etc. really work all *that* great in my experience but you'd might as well buy the cover that *claims* to address your concerns. Get the best from a reliable source. DO NOT buy a cheap cover.

ON/Off isn't all that tough if you follow a set routine each time so you know which end/side is which. Beware of marring your paint if the vehicle (or cover) is dirty. Give thought to what you're gonna do with a wet cover and how you're gonna wash it.

Keep the windows up in case it rains (and to keep bugs out). The cover will help keep the heat from getting too bad so you don't need to "vent" the car that way.

I always hate saying this, but searching on this topic will bring up a bunch of previous discussions.

Yes, do take your time installing/removing and definitely cover a clean, dust free car only.
