The best parking spot ever!

:D Its out in the south 40 of the parking lot where nobody else parks. I've got a whole row in front before anyone is parked. This is as far from anything dangerous as I can get. No sprinklers, no trees, no other cars... The only think I have to worry about is a bird bomb drifting off that parking lot lamp (which, by the way, is another reason its a great spot. I never have to worry about my car being in a dark corner.) I love that spot. I have to walk a little extra farther to get into the building, but who really cares? Parking near the door has gotten me nothing but door dings and waterspots. Screw it... I'm parking in the boonies from now on. :D

I have tried similar spots and when i come out there is a car right next to me
so close that can't get door open without banging it LOL.

So far nobody has said anything. Its far enough out there that I'm sure people notice the lone car in the south end of the parking lot, but nobody has said anything about it being parked through 4 spaces. lol It will take a lot of growth in the company before anyone has to park that far out. If they do, well there is always the Southwest corner of the parking lot. ;) I can get further out if I want to. I don't mind the walk in. I'm reading Angels and Demons while I walk. If any of you have read Dan Brown's work then you know its hard to put down. I'm glad for the walk.

When you park that far away (I do the same) there is really no need to take up more than one spot. You are just begging for some peice of $hit person to key you. You already bring attention to the car by parking off in the distance but multiple spot is pushing it.

Normally I would agree, but you have to consider the environment I work in. These are not the kind of people who would key a car. Even if they did, the spot is in full view of the security cameras. I was just down in the security office and saw my car on their screen. I laughed and told them that was me out there and joked that they better keep an eye on it. The security guys know me really well around here since I have to bring the new hires down to them. Besides, I only parked crooked in that picture for the photo op anyway. I'm not really that much of an a-hole. :D

Personally if that were me and there were no sprinklers on those islands in the corners of the shot, id park there. Only 1 side can get door dings and if you park close to the island they really have to try and hit you.

I wish we had spots like that here on Long Island. I have a brand new truck and already got a nice size ding from some ***hole who can watch their door. :beat

At work, I only park in three spots. One of them is always open, but it's usually the one thats farthest away. All three spots have striped lines on one side of them and each space is larger than normal. I hug the line and usually go a little over. When I'm not at work, I try to find the same kind of spot. If I can't I usually park at least 5 spots away from the closest car. Every once in a while I get the POS rust bucket that parks next to me. I caught someone parking unreasonably close to me one time. He found it funny at first. After a few minutes, he found it a lot less funny.

That is a nice spot you have though. I would have to aggree that you should only take up one spot. In my opinion, that is just asking for trouble, security cameras or not.

The curb would be nice except you risk the curb rashes if you make a mistake. As good as we all are at hugging curbs, mistakes do happen. The chances of anyone parking next to me are zero no matter where I park on that row. Its too far out there.

Again, the skewompus park job was for the picture and not really how I park out there. I still take a normal space.

yea i remember i always yelled at my dad when i was younger because he almost always pick the spot farthest away from the door. (not as far as u do) but there was always closer spots. so now i do the same thing. (again not as the extreme as you do but enough where people stare at me) and now my dad laughs at me when i do it.

saves from scratches. even though it dont mater cuz i got so many rock chips and all those bad scratches and dings. ugg if i could afford to paint my entire vehicle i would.

There are poeple in our school who think it is funny to park there huge trucks less than an inch away from the person in front of them. Alot of times they just drive until they feel it hit and then back up a tiny bit. I dont park were they do obviously and I stay in the street rather than the parking lot. There would be hell to pay if they got that close to my car.

yea there has been a few times when they have taken there hick trucks and actually had a tire on the hood of another car.

Somebody's face would be planted in the pavement if that was my car they did that to.

Don't you think you would be going a little easy on them?

:lol

I'd plant the guy up to his ankles so deep in the swamp that nobody would ever find (much of) him if anyone parked a truck on my smooooooth Camaro. I'd bury him upside down, of course. :naughty Florida aligators love to nibble at the toes when you do that. ;)
