I read the info about it, it has "space age polymers" (hmm another blackfire/platinum products thing?). Anyway, here is a few captions from the info they provide.

Tire rack says
"Wheel Wax is different from wheel polishes because it is not a polish, it is a wax formulated with space age polymers and resins, a heat resistant sealant and carnauba wax, which provides the ultimate protection for wheels. There are no ingredients in Wheel Wax that are harmful to wheels or their finish. Wheel Wax is treated to provide long lasting protection and formulated for ease of application.

Just wipe on, let dry to a haze and wipe off. For maximum shine, rinse with cool water and buff to a high shine. After 24 hours, Wheel Wax changes the surface polarity of wheels to repel the brake dust and makes the wheels easier to clean. Wheel Wax is also designed to help combat the effects of road salt and harsh winter road chemicals used in the Snow Belt, however whenever contaminates get on wheels they should be removed as soon as possible to keep wheels as new looking as possible.

The sooner Wheel Wax protective treatment is applied to new wheels, the longer the wheels will stay in like-new condition. After applying Wheel Wax, clean wheels every week using only neutral pH car wash soap. In many cases you may only need to use a soft, damp, cotton towel to get the best results.

Wheel Wax was formulated to last longer on wheels then any other product on the market; however, the lasting power of Wheel Wax will depend on how often the wheels are cleaned, and what product is used to clean them. If wheels are cleaned on a regular basis with water or neutral pH car wash soap, Wheel Wax should be applied every month. If any other chemical, high pH soap or automatic car wash is used, then Wheel Wax should be applied after each wheel cleaning."

Sounds like any other polymer, #20 and AIO, etc.. Anyway has anyone tried it, I wonder if it really is "specially formulated"

To me I think that we are better off to use Klasse or what ever you fav wax/polish you use on your paint...... Good shine on the paint- looks great on the wheels!!!!!!

I've got it and tested it...it seems like a normal carnauba wax with some extra cleaners in it. In a test on the Tahoe, it lasted about 2 weeks, or two washes. During those washes, I did not use wheel cleaner, I just used a separate wash mitt with plain water...

That is what made this forum stand head and shoulders above the rest. It's all about the members who are so willing to help each other. It is like a family here, and I am soooo bummed to see it go. I wish there was a way to keep in touch with all of you.

Perhaps everyone could somehow signify themselves as a former TID member at in whatever forum they go to. (Perhaps "-TID" added to their name.) I'm sure many will find each other again.

Dang. I just got here. I know some of you guys think I came here to spam because of the circumstances under which I arrived. It's a shame because I really did only want to set the record straight after one of our resellers did something that was dishonest here. Then I wished to get involved in the other discussions to learn more about the craft.

The truth is, my detailing experience background is limited to aviation, though I did spend nearly 10 years in it. Once that situation was straightened out, I really did hope to spend some time in here absorbing and learning from the pro members. The more I know, the better I can serve our customers. I'm sorry if some of you can't appreciate that, but aren't we all in the business of serving people?

If this forum is going away, it sucks because I never really got the chance to prove to you guys that I'm a legit person who just wanted to learn some things. Unfortunately, an affiliate of our company arrived here first and put a bad taste in everyone's mouth. I started posting some threads and responding to others, but I never got off the ground here.

Would any of you kindly recommend some other forums that would be a good place to absorb information from pro detailers? It would be really appreciated.

Best of luck to you all. I hope that your businesses thrive and all goes well for you, even as we enter really troubling times (I believe things in America are going to get far worse than they already are - but that's a discussion for a completely different forum). God bless.
