Taking Pics Of Cars

I swear that everytime that I take pics of the cars that I do, they really never seems to bring to life what I can see, or have done to the car.

Can anyone help with what they think are good angles, backgrounds to have......I limited as I only have the front street and cul de sac to shoot in....I would like to see what others are do.....I for the life of me cannot get any decent shots of the insides and my motor shots look dark...Thanks
