Taking a Bath with P21s Bodywork Conditioning Shampoo

Okay so I didn't actually take a bath in the P21s Bodywork Conditioning Shampoo, but I would be lying if I said I wasn't tempted to! With its fresh apple fragrance, natural ingredients, and elegantly shaped bottle, it wouldn't look out of place in a celebrity's bathroom. I never get tired of trying new shampoos, so last weekend I decided it was time to pamper my daily driver with P21s Bodywork Conditioning Shampoo.

P21s, the manufacturer of premium German car care products, is known for their wheel cleaners, respected for their carnauba waxes, and recognized around the world as using only the highest quality ingredients for every surface care product with their name on it.

My daily driver wasn't terribly dirty, but it did have a week's worth of dirt and road grime built up that needed to be washed off.

Like I mentioned earlier, this shampoo is tempting to take into the bathroom because it smells like a boutique hair shampoo. But I decided to play it safe and use the product for its intended use, which is to clean automotive paint while pampering the surface with natural wheat germ and sugar-based surfactants. What does all that fancy lingo mean? It will effectively clean and condition your vehicle's delicate paint without stripping the wax.

3 capfuls of shampoo was added to a 5-gallon bucket filled with 3 gallons of water.

Using a Grit Guard, I swished around the soap and water to activate the suds.

My weapon of choice to wash the car was a Cobra Chenille Wash Mitt. I like this mitt because it has a soft inner lining, holds a ton of soapy water, and is made of hundreds of super soft microfiber "fingers" that trap dirt particles while cleaning the paint.

With its natural conditioning agents, P21s Bodywork Conditioning Shampoo makes the wash mitt glide across the paintwork. This stuff smells GREAT. :D

One aspect of a shampoo that determines whether or not I use it again is how well it rinses. If the shampoo leaves behind a film or doesn't rinse freely, I give it away to friends or family. In this case, P21s Bodywork Conditioning Shampoo rinsed beautifully. No film was left behind on the paint or the glass.

After "flooding" the paint I grabbed my trusty Cobra Waffle Weave Guzzler Drying Towel. I can dry my entire vehicle with the 20" x 40" without ringing it out once. I prefer to fold it several times until its a manageable size.

Hey, it's clean!

Not that I expected anything less from a product with the P21s name on it, I was pleasantly surprised at the level of lubricity the shampoo provided along with how well it rinsed off the paint. Did I mention how delicious it smells too? :inspector:

When I first read the title to this thread, I was thinking that you was doing something else. :lol2: Another great review.

Nice review, Phantom. With so many car shampoos out there, unfortunately it seems this one has gotten pushed to the back. It is a very good shampoo and reasonably priced. Nice to see it get some publicity!

PS maybe I missed it, but how did you like the smell?? :rofl
