Tahoe paint correction (DA MF) & Opti-Guard coating

:xyxthumbs Very sweet! "aggr3ssor the photographer" :) Those are really nice pictures. Klasse looks really good on silver. Wait till you get a couple more layers of SG on it and a nice carnuba topper. It'll knock people's socks off!

edit: What do you use on your wheels and tires? Those look great!

Nice pics! Good job on the car. What's so nice about getting the Klasse shine is that not only is it dazzling but it lasts sooo long. :xyxthumbs

That's probably the nicest looking Dodge Stratus ever. Lots of BMW and Porsche owners take great care of their cars so it ain't no thing to see a nice one. But a cherry Stratus??? When was the last time <em class='bbc'>anyone[/i] saw one of those??

Terrific job! :up :up

very nice!! :xyxthumbs

Once the snow clears, i'm gonna tackle my black car with Klasse. If these are the results I can expect.. I cant wait!

<strong class='bbc'>haha cherry..

thats oldfolk talk for 'sweet' :D

[/b]</blockquote>
And sweet is old folks talk for "sic" (or "sick", depending on what coast you live on) :D

That is seriously a sweet ride though. Its true that you don't see many "normal" cars done up like that. Not that your car is "normal". It is a really sweet car though. (insert "thumbs up" here)

Chevy Tahoe paint correction and Opti-Guard coating

Client recently purchased this vehicle for his wife and wanted it looking new again with some durable protection. The previous owner appeared to have lived on a gravel road and frequent the local swirl-o-matic wash.

Process:
Wash ? Foam bath with CGCW and 2BM
Wheels ? Meguiars Wheel Brightner
Tires ? Optimum Power Clean
Clay ? Meguiars Mild Clay
Paint correction step 1 ? Meguiar?s D300 and MF cutting disk on the DA
Paint correction step 2 ? Meguiar?s M205 and crimson LC foam pad on the DA
Coating Prep ? Foam bath with CGCW and OPC followed by a IPA wipe-down
Paint protection ? Optimum Opti-Guard (Paint/wheels/lights/trim)
Tire and wheel wells ? Dressed with Meguiar?s Hyper Dressing 3:1
Glass ? Meguiars D120
Chrome ? Optimum Metal Polish

Note: Areas with bad water spots (hood and fenders) were first hit with M105/Surbuf

Just a great job Chad. Looks like the MF System is a real winner. The Tahoe looks better then new.
Also, great work on the video.:hurray:

Thanks Rob!

I'd say the paint is on the harder side, but it polished out very well. ;)

You're welcome :) Hope you don't mind me asking about the hardness of paints on vehicles that you do. I just figured it would give people like myself a heads up of what's to be expected in case we do come across those, not that I do very many, but always hoping, so we can choose our pad/polish combos accordingly aside from always performing a test spot.

Wish there was a guide of some sort of listing vehicles and their manufacturers with varying hardness of paints...or is there?

Too many variables really. You can actually have two same make, model, year, and colored cars and have the paint respond totally different simply because it was painted on a different day. You can usually generalize most of them, but just know it's not set in stone and a test spot should always be done. :)
