T-shirt marketing?

I am taking some business classes this semester and one of the topics that we are actually discussing is marketing. T-shirt marketing was brought up by one of my classmates. Has anyone done t-shirt marketing? I think this is a good way of marketing because as people wear your t-shirt they are like a walking or mobile billboard for you company. Any thoughts on t-shirt marketing?

I don't have t-shirts but I do have polo shirts with my logo embroidered on the left chest. I have had many people see it and it almost always will start a conversation about my shop, mostly cashiers, bank tellers, etc. So I would imagine t-shirts would be even better as you don't need to be standing right in front of the person for them to see it.
