Swirls are back

Well I tried Zaino 2 months ago, did exactly what their directions said.I washed it with Dawn, clay bared the whole surface. I had some minor swirls in the paint which the Z5 did hide after 2 applications. Then over the course of 2 days I had 3 applications of Z2PRO. The finish was exactly what I was looking for. Now after 1 month the paint still beads water high and still has depth but I can see all the swirls again. Are the swirls from washing/drying. I use a waffle weeve to dry and a very plush wash mit (both from MOTHERS booth at a car show).

Until recently Zaino has not had a product that really addresses swirls. I don't know much about Zaino, but I'm sure a few folks can chime in with info about it or you can check their website.

My guess is that you just filled in the swirls enough to make it appear that they were gone. Egad, this would suggest that the holy grail of detailing has fillers! :lmfao :D Just kidding Zealots. The swirls were probably still there, but you may have removed enough to dull their appearance. One of the bad things about having your car so shiny is that it tends to amplify every little defect - dings really stand out. It is possible that you have induced new swirls, but most likely your swirls are underneath all of your protection.

If the swirls are under all of your Zaino, then you're going to have to remove the Zaino to get to them. Again, I'm not a Zaino user, but I have had excellent results using Poorboy's SSR 2.5 to remove swirls. You may need to follow with a lighter polish such as SSR 1 if you induce micromarring while removing the swirls; many of us try the lighter product first to see if it does the job.

I might be wrong but I think Zaino covers your swirls . Like mtode suggested you'll need to use something to remove them and then continue with your Zaino products.

Z5/Z2-Pro isn't a true polish in that it doesn't remove swirls but fills them in. Zaino has a new product called Zaino PC-Fusion which is indeed supposed to be a true polish/cleaner that's designed to remove swirls as opposed to filling them in and should be used before applying Z5/Z2-P.
