i have got a lot of swirls on my black truck that i want gone what could i use for such a problem. i have scratchs on my truck too that i can see but my fingernail wont catch. thanks

You will need a machine like a rotary tool or a dual action polisher like a Porter Cable 7424 as well as the right polishes and pads. Pictures would help in this case to give you more specific directions. Typically I would say that Pinnacle XMT 2 or Poorboy's SSR2 should do the trick in combination with a yellow Edge 2000 pad or yellow EPS pad. You may need to step down a level in case of hazing, so I would suggest a white pad and some SSR1 or XMT1 to remove that as well. Swirls aren't going to be removed by hand, so you will definitely need a machine if you want great results.

i will get some pictures up tomorrow night. i really dont want to spend that much money on tools like that right now since im only 17. thanks

Quite honestly, and don't take this the wrong way, but if you don't have the money to buy the tools and products needed, then your best bet is to hire someone to do it for you. Trying to do it by hand or trying to use budget products very often only makes it worse and most often is totally ineffective. It's like asking how to remove the lug nuts off your wheels, but you don't want to invest in a jack or a lug wrench. The only advice I can offer if you can't get the tools is to take your vehicle to someone who does have them and get the job done that way. It really is the best thing for your paint.

Couldn't agree more. It is such a small investment(tools) for the much larger investment(vehicle).
