Stronger product. You can use pretty aggressive stuff successfully with the polishing pad and #9 is about as mild as abrasive products get. Step up to #80 with that pad, that's the next, natural progression from #9. Note that Meguiar's doesn't even recommend using their 7006 cutting pad with a PC (though many people do it).
