swirl marks caused by PC

I'm a newb at this but I used poli-seal and a orange cutting pad with a PC and I noticed that it created alot of swirl marks. I applied a good amount of pressure. What am i doing wrong????

i think you went too aggresive on the pad choice. if i'm using OP or OPS i don't go any farther than a white polishing pad. try using the OPS with a white pad. you may have to work it a bit, but i would guess that you'll still be able to remove the swirls this way. about the only thing i use with orange cutting pads are compounds (OC or Pinnacle Advanced Swirl Remover are my products of choice currently).

You kind of have to step down to a polishing pad after using a cutting pad. Otherwise you'll get micromarring.
