Swiffer

I have only seen a couple of posts on the Swiffer for quick touch ups inside the vehicle. This is a great product. Doesn't seem to scratch plastic(because you just need to lightly glide the cloth across the surface) and leaves the car dust free, even on vinyl treated with silicone based products, noticeably more than just wiping the dust with an MF towel. Really makes a difference and does what the name says, in one "Swif" the dust is gone.

I have not tried the wet version yet.

sounds great...i like the little demo they have....cute....is says that your best bet is to just toss it out after you use it...i guess enough times so that it soesnt remove dust anymore....im gonna look for this stuff at the supermarket....its worth a try....i hope they have unscented though...dont want that lemon stuff....thx....good job:up....

it works by static i see....but i wonder how deep it is...i meanhow deep does it get the dust down to...so its not on the surface as you keep going.....like with plastics...im not sure...but ill try it on the dash and see...

you should be able to find them in almost any grocery store. They also have a mop that you poke the cloths into that works really well.

I love these things! :up :up :up

Pledge makes these too. In fact, I think Pledge may have made them first. Yes, they have unscented. They are great! I think you can get them in packs of 20 or 40 - about $2.50 and $4.00 or so.

I have been using Pledge Grab-Its (a ripoff of the swiffer, I think) for about 2 years now on my dash and interior plastic/vinyl panels. It quickly removes all dust (better than the Cali Dash Duster) and can be reused MANY MANY times. I always keep one in my ashtray and when stuck at a red light, lightly glide it across the dash.

Some have expressed concern that it may leave a residue (since the "paper" is treated), but it doesnt leave anything noticeable in my experience.

swiffer is great!

i seriously recommend having a swiffer in the glove of every car! those things last forever and can pick up dirt like a vacuum with an endles bag. ive been using swifer ever since they were introduced in the market. i get mine form albertsons.

one example of how great a single sheet of swiffer really is was when i had to help move everything out of my sisters 2 bedroom 4 person apartment because she was moving away. well a single sheet of swiffer was all i need to clean EVERYTHING from the dusty blinds, tv, countertops, fridge, everything! i mean it was completely dark grey when i was almost done but it just keeps picking up dirt and dust! 1 swiffer is all u need to las tu a life time with ur car.:up

was in target yesterday for ...whatelse...stuff for the car...and they had a huge display of the stuff...it jarred my memory of this post....i bought 2 boxes...it came in a box of 32 for $7.....and you know as soon as i got out to the parking lot i ripped the box open and tried it out....man you guys were right....that static trik works....with 1 pass of an area..dash...cup holder ...whatever...it sucks everything up...then i just shook it out and it was ready to keep going....these things really are great...so now i just keep a bunch i the glove box............thx guys.........:up

They have that spray can that goes on the end of the new wet swiffer mops, you press the little mechanism and it sprays the floor as you mop, it's really cool.

As for the dry swiffers, I had the problem using them on my dash becuase the "roughness" of my vw dash would pull fibers off the swiffer. Plus, people have found them to swirl plastic (so don't press too hard). Lastly I have chrome and glass (like the rearview mirror) and the swiffer can't shine either one, so instead of having both mf and swiffer, I just have the mf. My chrome gearshift plate collects the post dust and I only feel safe using an mf for it.

They sell them at Costco too. Perfect for getting those pesky little cigarette ashes off my dash and seats. They are perfect for the dash because I find that a slightly damp MT tends to leave marks on my 303 coat.

I have quite a bit of walnut and mahogany furniture and they show dust like you can't believe. Swiffers are incredible at picking up all the dust off furniture. But use it on smooth surface bacuse as Steve said their little fibers will shred.

If my house had tons of hardwood floors I'd be spending my paycheck to buy Swiffers.

IMHO, Swiffers are like Eagle One Tire Swipes and their new wax applicator - why didn't someone think of this a long time ago?

Brilliant products.

my 21 month old daughter went ballistic the other day in the car and I just gave her one to see if she would stop screaming at me.

They have a slight static feel to them and she was amazed at the feeling. It was like man seeing fire for the first time. I'll never forget that moment :p

wow -- seems like we have instant consensus (only one cautionary post) on a previously undiscussed item, that threatens to become an instant standard. Great! I'll have to try them.
