Swiffer Dusters

I had a chance this weekend to try these out. Its basically a Swiffer duster towel that is connected to a small handle and flexs. I got them at Wal-Mart for $3.84. Not bad. The package comes with a plastic handle and 5 of the replacement cleaning pads.

They worked pretty good for dusting the interior etc. The good thing is that the handle flexes and allows you to reach into corners etc.

I have always carried one of the Swiffer duster towels in my glove box for a quick wipe down of the dash. They pick up dust and dirt great.

This product kinda reminds me of the tiny CCD.

Bottom line: Works pretty good at picking up dust etc from the interior. Reasonably priced.

I use those little Swiffer hand mit things, they are in the shape of a glove so you can put them on and get in tighter places. They work well for cleaning lower parts of the dash, and hard to reach spots as well.

You can also use them on your wheels after each drive. But that gets expensive.

Now, what would you think of a duster that instead of pariffin cotton strands had "chenille woven" micro fiber? To clarify "chenille" is a weave, so taking a longer version of lets say the ones on a mitt but the composite material is 70 / 30 polyester to polymide? I wonder if that would work??

Hard to say... isn't it the parafin that does the holding of the dust and make it pick up so well? I guess MF has that property too though...

I also keep a Swiffer in my glove compartment. Thanks for the review of those dusters, I saw those a while ago and thought it'd be great, but they were kinda pricey. For the cost of each sheet though I'll probably stick with the original Swiffers or buy a pack of the cheap generic versions.

Thanks for the review! I have always found that Swiffer wipes are great for quick wipe-downs, but they have major static issues, and can sometimes make things worse a day or two later. Anybody else get crazy static with them?
