Surf City Beyond Black but mine are Brown

I have been using Surf City Garage Beyond Black Tire Dressing on my brand new BF Goodrich tires. I chose this product because of the reported Matte finish and because I'm still not sure if the "silicon tire dressing being bad" stuff is a myth or not.

Well my problem is that just days after application, my tires are always very brown. Sometimes I scrub them sometimes not, but they get washed at least once a week (sometimes twice). Any suggestions or further input on the silicon topic?

thanks

I have been using Beyond Black for months and have never experienced this "browning" issue

I would start with doing a deep cleaning of your tires as I would suspect there is something else on the besides the SC BB that is making them brown

Tires naturally "bloom", that's probably what is causing the browning. Just clean them good with a stiff brush and apply your dressing.

Also consider the fact you may be overcleaning..........Its not really necessary to APC tires with every wash. It seems a waste to me when they could be wiped down with a dirty old rag or something just to remove "dirty protectant". Leave the natural oils alone.

I only APC every 2 months, every week its car shampoo and an sponge on the wheels and tyres or Mothes tyre brush on the tyres.

As for Beyond Black, nice product, very matt. Wont last long in harsh weather though.

I'm agreeing with Patrick ( the end is near!) - seriously, if you wash your car weekly and do tires, using a APC or a dedicated tire cleaner is a waste. I just use a little Dawn in a bucket of hot water and a tire brush.
