i rcently pulled seats fom the junkyard and put them in my car. there nice but there sun beaten and hard in some spots. Is there and process or proucts that will help soften this leather again and prevent cracking? thanks.

You might want to purchase a leather kit from our sponsers or just a bottle of conditioner. To start you will want to use APC or a leather cleaner and throughly clean the leather. A soft brush might help with this step. After the leather is clean then use the leather conditioner on all the leather. Multiple applications may be needed. Good luck.

The problem with sun beaten leather is that it has dried the oils out and in some cases it cannot be added back in....I agree your best shot is a leather care kit. Cleaning I would use water and woolite its not to harsh on the leather or saddle soap. Then the conditioner and repeat the process daily..... I had a BMW years back that I did this with and the seats came out look great.....The harder parts might not come back as I said the sun blisters the leather and that is not reversible in some cases

Thank you all. I have been aplying meguires gold class leather cleaner/condition daily and it has been softening the leather. I have one question is there a disadvantage to usaing a two in one leather product instead of a seperate cleaner and conditioner? Thanks.

Try using mink oil it seems to work preaty well on my dryed out seats. You can probably find it at most grocery stores as its for conditioning most leather products however is largely used for shoes.
