I have an appointment with an aston martin coming up and i am fairly sure that it has a suede dash and more and i was wondering how do you clean suede? this is a very good family freind, and also a very important guy in the car community so i have to get his car PERFECT because he could recomend me to a lot of other people in the high priced car clubs. can anyone help me?:nervous2:

thanks in advance:thx

Awsome... i cant wait to get my hands on this guys car. Its is going to look amazing! hes got like the silverstone charcoal'ish color... im going to make this car PERFECT!! any recomendations on products that will make this car look beyond perfect? or what do you use on the color and car?

... sorry if im asking bad questions, im just REALLY excited about making this guy happy and getting my hands on a supercar.

sonus sfx1-3, klasse aio and sealant, ummm a compound i got that works really well that i got frum a freind that owns a well known paint shop and body shop. umm meguirs tech wax... i know i dont have much, im looking to get some more products. Any recomendations? I probobly need to get new ones huh? i was looking at chemical guys and poorboy's. But if theres some better stuff for more money i have no probem with spending a little extra money.

If thats all you have, I'd say youve got a good $1500 to spend on supplies, maybe check out some LARGE kits that include a PC or UDM.

Edit: I just saw in your other post that you have a PC, go buy everything else, stock up on chemical guys!

Good stuff to order from CG:

1 nice paste wax (5050 or Petes 53)

1 commodity wax (XXX paste or Butter wax liquid),

1 sealant (jetseal or mseal)

1 glaze (EZ Creme Glaze)1

1 leather cleaner and 1 conditioner

2 5-gallon buckets (with grit guards)

1 gallon of good wash (citrus wash & gloss)

1 quick detailer (extreme slick synthetic)

some clay

A lot of nice MF towels

Those are the products I vouch for and use on my details. I also use many other brands. You have to find a balance between looks, protections, easiness of application, and price. I haven't used their polishes nor seen any good reviews about them. I'd stick to Menzerna or Optimum for those. I'd also get an AIO like Klasse AIO, Pinnacle XMT360, or Optimum Poliseal.

As I have stated before, I respect your entrepreneurial spirit. I do have some concerns though. AM are very expensive cars. What if you damage this car? Who will pay for the damage. Is it wise to work on such an expensive car without having a set process and product arsenal? I am not trying to be critical, just making you aware of some issues. Good luck though.

I do agree with with you that he needs a process and everything. However, you learn a lot faster by making mistakes. I just hope he doesn't try something new like wetsanding on the Aston Martin. If he sticks to a thorough cleaning, AIO, and wax there isn't much to mess up.

I understand that you learn by making mistakes, however, a mistake on a $100,000 car would not be good. An example is the the buffer getting dropped on the hood. The question still stands; who is going to pay for any damages if something were to happen. What if the owner decides to sue? I am just making him aware of some things he has to consider if he wants to detail professionally.

i have the sonus leather cleaner and conditioner-i dont like it i was guna buy something else like leatherique or lexol

i have meguirs tech wash-i ran out of the sonus wash

i have sonus clay

and i have like 15 of the sonus mf towels(i ordered 9 more from rightlook)

i am thinking about getting some menzerna products.

.... and i def. wouldnt try wetsanding on the aston, i am only going to do what i know i can do and have done before, i have the aston martin in like 3 weeks so i will be able to get new products and get the hang of them on some less expensive cars.

i completely understand your reasoning for not wanting me to take this job. And frankly im a little nervous, but i find when your nervous its safer. also the owner is one of my dads good freinds, so i doubt he would sue. But if i needed to get the money i could get it out of the money ive earned this past summer from detailing.

Klasse sealant glaze is awesome is you have time to let it cure and do a 2nd coat or top with an LSP. For detailing you want someone you can top right away like mseal, jetseal, and others.

Your P21S is great as your high quality wax

Tech wax can be used as your commodity wax until you run out, then get something else like the ones I suggested or even others.

As for car wash, use what you got for now. Meg's hitech wash is one of my favorites. Low suds but great lubricity. You can get Duragloss 901 over the counter and it's awesome as well. CG has the Citrus wash and gloss which is also great.

24 MFs should be ok, just make sure you got specific ones. I have some for drying, for glass, for interior and general areas, for wheels, removing polish, and some for QD and buffing.

IMO most clay is pretty comparable. Once you run out of the Sonus one you can get clay magic at autozone or order any brand (make sure it's mild/regular, not the abrasive stuff) from any site.

So, it looks like you are on the right path. Make sure you take good pics of before and after on the AM. You can use them to show future customers of what kind of work you can do.

yea i def. wouldnt miss the chance to take pics of an AM...

Can you recomend what i should use on it. i was going to get the poorboys proffesional polish but if theres better stuff out there like menzerna i would be glad to spend the extra money to satisfy my customers.

Also i was thinking about getting the lake country ccs 5" foam pads. would they be good with the pc?

... also i know you can use paste waxes with the pc but how would you do it? take the whole like block of wax out of the container and rub it on the pad?
