Two words: Prep Work

Streat Dreams has some of the finest polishing skills on the forum. He could use a wax from Wally World and make it look that nice. Now longevity is another issue. The new nano coatings are designed to last where another less expensive product may not.

Removing all the defects via compounding/polishing is what made that car shine, not the coating.

Awesome work as always, Dave. Great writeup, too. On a side note, I love how the Breytons look on these cars, but my friend has those same wheels and had one flat spot then crack on the front, and his 2 rears are cracked on the inside lip. Gorgeous wheels, but too soft IMO.
