1988 35th Anniversary edition Vette Z01 package. Limited production car (2,050 made) This car was made only in white as a tribute to the 1953 Corvettes which were only produced in with white exteriors.

This car is not regularly driven and has sat for a quite while. Issues included a lackluster paint finish, water etch marks, slight oxidation and some yellowed plastic body panels (front/rear bumper).

Goal was to correct the paint best as possible where allowed....

Thanks for reading!

All the best,

Great job. I remember when those first came out.

You did an excellent job capturing the condition. On the paint before and after. That is tough on white.

Wow Dave, that thing looks amazing now that your done. IIRC, the C4 Corvette's had a lot of issues with bumpers matching the rest of the car, different types of plastic used on the body and rubber for the bumpers (something to that effect).

Great job, it looks amazing now!

Thats the most glossy white I have seen. I have found that wool + 105 compounding before MF D300 and MF cutting pad is a time saver in some cases. what are your thoughts? Looks amazing.

Excellent work David! You are the true master of the 50/50 shot! Please learn me the ways of the master! :bow

Good to have you back buddy! Missed your awesome before and after threads! :yourrock

C5 is ugliest vette made with that way too big ass and glass hatch back.

:lmfao WRONG!

I think the Pre-1991 C4 is the ugliest 'vette by far; and between the C5/C6 in some ways I actually like the C5 better.

Not to mention, the C4 was the biggest PITA ever to get in and out of with those monster frame rails to step over/down into.

LOL...yep!

My C5 z06 looked bad ass!!!!!

You're right about the frame rails, too.

C4 < all

I do like the c5 z06, it has a trunk correct, which eliminated that huge too big ass hatch. Whats unique about c4 it has the most conservative looks of all generations kind of sets it apart.

The MF discs are an unbelievable gift to paint correction but sometimes you can cut out heavy defects much faster with the rotary as I'm sure you know. As for a time saver with the rotary its a trade off because while yes you can cut out defects faster using it with wool and 105 you also have to deal with at least 2 following steps for refinement, whereas with the cutting disc on most paints you can finish down in 1 step.
