Keep it clean !!!
I absolutely refuse to use this product on a black car because of the amont of visible overspray on the fenderwells, however I do use it on my wifes silver c-class with good results. I used this product this weekend on a 1998 Silver CLK320. I buffed of most of the excess and the wheels looked like new.

And some elbow grease cleaned those wheels up nicely. I haven't use HI in some time but after this weekend I've been born again with this product!
