I just got a steam cleaner yesterday, and used it for the first time. It's not a very powerful one (45psi, 220deg), but it was the right price. I tried it on half the dash and the passenger door of my black '93 civic. After using it, I noticed that the 'lock' lever seemed to have white deposits on it, and the dash just didn't seem to look the same, even after two coats of 303. I tried to clean it with apc, but it still didn't look right.
I don't have pics right now, but can post some later. Has anyone else had any experience with steam cleaners removing some of the dye on vinyl or plastic? Or am I having a different problem?
Thanks, Joshua
