Started using QEW = car is wet at night

Just started QEW and love it.

But now my car is wet at night, not drops or misty but a complete layer of water ?

When I use QEW I follow up with a quick detail.

Its strange that its a heavy sheet like buildup.

Have I lost my wax ? or am I using too much QEW ?

At first I thought you meant it figuratively as in the QEW makes your paint really shiny, but that just sounds odd. Can you give us more detail?

I would say it's likely that the QEW is leaving a light residue on your paint. When it's cool in the morning the residue is giving condensation something to "stick" to and therefore the water all over your car.

The car has a sheet of water on it especialy the hood, top and rear hatch.

My main concern is the wax, but I'll wax it this weekend and see if that helps.

I do dry the QEW completely as I work in sections and then finish the entire car with a quick detail.

QEW has a protective additive in it. That is why durability tests are useless if you use QEW. Your wax is still there under the QEW protective coating. Should be not problem.

It is much better to have condensation on your vehicle than the dirt from the previous driving session. :)

So how oftetn should I wax now that I use QEW

I've been using the NXT was

The car is a 2000 Firebird Formula. It is Midnight Blue Mettalic.

Would I be better off with Zaino + QEW ?

I know what you're talking about. But it happens to me after everytime I use a QD or QEW, or wax the car. There's always some very light residue left on the paint that gives the dew a unique pattern.

You'll be better off with Zaino instead of the NXT. The lifespan of NXT is pretty low, one wrong wash and it's all gone. The Zaino can handle a lot more winter abuse.

QEW is pretty mild, and wont' strip the Zaino, but I belive it eats into the NXT. I like the way NXT looks, but the durability is just poor.
