Stains on paint from trim detailer

After coming home from work in the rain I noticed under the side door trim some stains. Looks like the trim detailer I was using(303) dripped from the rubber door trim onto the paint. I rubbed my finger on it and it won't come out:eek: ....How do I take it off? Is there a trim detailer out there that won't drip and stain paint when it rains?

Did you buff the 303 after application? I got the samples in the mail, applied to side view mirrors ,let sit a few mins then buffed off with a MF and it has been raining here. no dripping of the 303 so far

A while back I got some bad unknown stains on my white paint.

I tried every thing, clay bar, polish, cleaner and nothing worked.

I tried some Langka I had and they wiped right off with a MF towel, you might try it.

Its for smoothing the touch up paint blob you get when you touch up chips, its not a stain remover, I tried it as a last resort and it worked great, took the stain out and will not hurt the paint at all.

Its on the web Langka or you can go to Mothers website they sell it under their name.

It worked for me but your stain may be different. I think my stain was from a rubber bed mat, the black rubber got very hot and the nibs rubbed on the white paint and and rubbed into the paint, nothing else would get them out, it did.

e mail me if you need to.

I think I know the kind of stain you are talking about. Long ago I experienced similar staining from Armor All and other water based dressings. Fortunately qd or a good wash always removed it for me. (black paint)

As for the Langka/Mothers, you may find it in a smaller auto parts store in the section where they sell automotive sand paper and body repair products( didn't see it in any big chain stores--Pep Boys, AutoZone, Advanced Auto near me)

PS

I see you are in Edison: here's where I saw the Mother's Langka, a place in Kendall Park

Car Parts of Kendall Park

easy to get to from rt 1, go rt 1 south, turn at finnegans lane, make a left, stay straight, I think it's after 2 lights, its in a strip mall that includes the Kendall Park Post Office

I had the same problem with the 303, I no longer use it on the exterior.

I removed the stains with Meguires Cleaner/Wax and then reZaino'd.
