Stainless Steel Add On's

It is after Christmas and now it is time to show off the Christmas present that I got my wife for he car. All she wanted was the license plate trim but as usual when it comes to my wife I went a little over the top just to try and satisfy her.



This is not detail although I did do a Z6 wipedown before the pictures. This is a stainless steel trim thread.

Have rocker panels coming. The first panels were damaged in transit.



Hope some one like’s it besides me.
 
Here in Europe those fender trims are used by turkish greengrocers (aka vegetable men) on their Mercs to cover the rust...



I prefer the original appearance. But if your wife was satisfied, then it is a great Xmas gift!
 
Ya, it is in the eye of the beholder. I knew that there were more Nay's than Yay's in this particular add on but did it any way. She IS happy!! Thanks for the comments.

I think it looks good....it puts a little class in the car....

Reminds me of your truck! My brother loves the stainless steel trim too. For me, it depends on the vehicle. I think the grill would look better without the stainless steel band across the middle but if your wife is happy, that is what counts!



I have a customer who loves insanely complicated chrome wheels and those Goodyear Vantage tires on her Cadillacs. Not my cup of tea but she's happy with them. :)
 
I think the grille is fine, the rest is just too much. Especially the fender arches, that's a nice spot for rust to collect.
 
I thought it looked like a little too much myself, but after thinking about it, I think the problem now is the wheels. They need to be changed to a polished look. Then the car will look balanced.
 
I agree and will talk with the boss. since she is the one that paid for it I am not able to do anything , other than detail it, without her permission.
 
Oh...my...god. Is that really your truck? If so, please have it turned into a small metal block ASAP. Horrifying that anyone wants to be seen in something like that.
 
Well SkipperW we certainly found out soon enough. Didn't we. One thing I know for sure opinions are worth what it costs. Yours...mine...or others. :xyxthumbs
