A buddy of mine texted me today about his 4Runner. He had some hail damage a while back and ended up with a new hood. Well, he went wheeling a few days ago and some mud stained the new hood. He is panicked about it, so I figured I'd help.

I told him to try claying it first and he said that helped but didn't totally get it. So I think it probably needs some 105 or 205, but I'm concerned about the newer paint.

My question is, how long should you wait on new paint before polishing with a da and 105/205?

30-90 days if it was painted.

But most paints can be polish out in about 60 days. Need to ask the shop that painted it.

The shop originally told him 60 days, but figured I would ask the pros.
