SSR1 vs FP

Can someone tell me which PB SSR is most like FP?

Also, any comment on which one works best with a PC?

Thanks.

Both work well as a final polish step. However, I've personally
found that SSR1 gives a more wet, reflective look and a slick
feeling panel, while FP/ FPII provides a more glossy and grabby
(ultra clean) feel. Both work well with rotary, but I have found
that SSR1 is more PC friendly; meaning that you get more
effective results than using FPII with a PC. Finally, SSR1
seems to do it's best work with a finishing pad, while FP seems
to do it's best work with either a polish or a finish pad.

i remember reading a post and hearing fp is a paint burnisher, what is a paint burnisher? does this contain any abrasives? would this remove any light imperfections? sorry for the questions.

Hmmm...? I'm beginning to have more questions than I anticipated. I have only used FPII once and I was pleasently pleased with it. I especially liked the fact that I could use it on the clear headlight lenses as well and it imparted an almost invisible look to the plastic. It also seemed to deepen the black car I was working on.

The reason for my original question is that I was thinking of trying PB SSR1, but I have never used it so I don't know what to expect. The price is sure reasonable.

Would anyone care to recommend what I should do in this instance?

Thanks for the feedback.

sorry I can't answer your question but I plan on adding SSR1 & SSR2 to my product shelf this spring.

I've read so many good posts about these products that I feel compelled to try them & support one of our sponsors.

I've yet to be disappointed with any PB product that I've tried.

good luck

SSR1 and FPII are both great, you can't go wrong either way. FPII leaves the paint squeakier, not that that's a good or bad thing, just different than SSR1.

Guys,

Steve at Poorboys is giving DC members a FANTASTIC deal on SSR gallons. $35 each or $30 each if you buy all 4 -list price is $50. You just can't go wrong. It's a GREAT product -one of the few that works well with both a PC and rotary, and it's at a great price.

Yeah, I know. I wasn't going to bring that up until AFTER I ordered mine. :hot He did say while supplies last. :) You can go ahead and order now.

Thanks to everybody who responded. I have decided to buy a gallon of the SSR1 because of the special price offer and try it out.

Your responses were very informative.

At $30-$35 a gallon, I'm sure you just made the right choice! :)
