SSR 2.5, VM, EX-P, EX. Man am I happy with this combo!!

03COBRA

I miss my 03 Cobra......
WEll I finally got to get a hold of my girlfrinds truck for the day. The last time I went into a detail on it I was able to remove most of the oxidation the truck had in it. But I went straight from a cutting pad with VM, to EX-P by hand. I didn't get a chance to polish it at all, it looked good but now it looks incredible. So today I started out with SSr 2.5, to remove the rest of oxidation that was there, not much, but there was a bit that I didn't get before. Then moved up to the VM. Then I was waiting on my shipment of EX, so why I waited I put a coat of EX-P on, I love EX-P under a topper. Then while I was removing the EX-P the mailman showed up with my shipment from Specialty Motoring. So I applied the EX over the EX-P, man what a shine for a light color. I applied the EX-and EX-P with a PC and a finishing pad, PB's products are even easier to remove when applied with a finishing pad. I also had a question, in my order I got my PP, PwC, and my Natty's, do you think I should substitute any of these products with the one's I used today? Anyways, let me know what ya think:D By they way, I'm very happy with the Lake Country pads, they are amazing and clean up very easy!!!!

SSR 2.5--LC Yellow Pad----(PC 5)

VM--------Sonus Blue Pad--(PC 5)

EX-P----- LC Finishing Pad-(PC 4)

EX--------LC Finishing Pad--(PC 4)

nice work. gotta love that clean reflection of EX. :)

i don't think you need to substitute any of your new products for any of your old products. but, it doesn't hurt to experiment. ;)

if anything, i'd suggest another layer of EX, and then seeing if Natty's will do anything.

Nice work!! but................................where's the Cobra lol :(

Seems like something is missing in the background of those pics ;)

What made you decide on the PP? I'm not really a huge fan of the PwC either though.

I got the Pro Polish just to give it a try, and same with PwC. After putting on the EX I don't think I will need the Natty's, but I will give it a try on the new car next week!:p As for the Cobra, I just couldn't handle the insurance and the gas prices anymore. I am looking into getting a house and getting married and don't really feel like dumping that money into a car anymore. But every penny I spent on it was worth it, but I have to think that there might be another one in my future. But, there might be a Supra somewhere down the line, after some of the videos a supra seems like it might be THE car to have! Bryan, I don't know how you had insurance so cheap, I couldn't get anywhere near what you had for 6 months. So I got every high school kids dream, a Honda Civic, well not yet, next week. But oh well, I almost got in enough trouble with that car, it was time for it to go. I had a good couple of days before I got rid of it, took out an SRT-4, and a Celica GTS that tried to do a fly by, but I didn't let that happen!!

"So I got every high school kids dream, a Honda Civic"

Haha, it is not my dream car or even close. I got it for the same reasons you are. Even though I got my first ticket tonight.

:bow Outstanding work!

Maybe another layer of EX then go with Natty's about once a month. Should keep it looking great for the next six month or so until it needs deep polishing again.

Hey mnbv, just jokin around, they are great cars and one of the only ones I trust these days. I work in a Goodyear auto service center and know what cars are reliable and which ones are not.

Thanks Scott for the kind words. I do owe you a lot of credit for the tips, product knowledge, and techniques. I value your opinion, as do most of us on here. I think I will take you up on your idea of another coat of EX and then top it with Natty's. Scott, would you recommend another topper, s100 or anything instead of Natty? Thanks:xyxthumbs

I did my GN up last week. I did VM/EX (x2) so far and it looks AMAZING. Not very deep yet but the best it has ever looked regardless. I have not had a chance to top it with Natty's yet tho. My paint is 20 years old so it has some imperfections to say the least. I was thinking about starting over and trying to get it perfect. What am I talking about, I have no time and too many other cars to do. I'll be putting the Natty's on this week.

Here's a pic from the weekend show.

Also, your g/f's truck is sweet!

Damn that looks great!!!

Definately top with Natty's every 4-5 washes. It is such an easy product to use.

That is for sure. I couldn't beleive how easy it was to use! I was wiping the app. along the top of the Natty's, and it didn't look like any was getting on to the app, so I said well it looks like there is a little bit on it, so I made 3 swipes front to back on her hood with one dip into the natty's, talk about a little going a long way!:xyxthumbs I do think Natty's is a very clear look, I am anxious to try it on my new car next week!

And Again Firebird, your GN is looking great. Try putting a coat of EX-P on top of the EX, then add another layer of EX.
