SS&S & UPP Compatibility Prob???

This morning I washed my UPP'd car with SS&S, and after I dried it there was absolutely no slickness. Just squeeky clean as if I stripped everything off. I have (or had?) 3 or 4 layers of UPP on the car and everytime I washed it with 4* Auto Wash the slickness remained.



I was careful not to put too much soap in the bucket (1 oz per 2 gal), and had plenty of suds and had a nice slick wash. Made sure to rinse well also.



I ended up applying AIO and a layer of UPP on the car. Have plenty of 4* wash and will use it on this car until I can figure out what may have gone wrong.



What do you think happened?
 
All I can say is if UPP seems to hold up better with 4* wash than SS&S I'd stick with it. Personally I like SS&S. I've found it to be very gentle with any LSP I've used and the slickness is great, but different people get different results and I'd go with what works for you.
 
I can not believe it stripped any wax off the car. I have used UPP and SS&S plenty of times with not stripping as far as I can tell.

I also find it hard to believe that could have happened, and don't really know if indeed it did strip off the UPP. All I can say is that the surface had absolutely no slickness after it was dried. I'm confused...
