Springs are ready to go in!

Well, I finally ordered my drop springs Friday night and they came in this morning. I picked them up at lunch and they are sitting in the garage ready to go on afterwork! I ended up going with the Eibach Prokits. The rears will be on tonight but the fronts have to wait for my upper strut mount to come in. I have a stripped thread on the pass. side one and decided to just fix it now while I have it apart so as soon as the upper mount comes the fronts will be done. I am hoping on Thursday night for the fronts.

Good choice for springs. Even if they are for a Civic :nono When ever I get the money to do my suspension, im either going with the Prokits and Koni Yellows, or the full Nismo setup.

I purchased a pair of ebachs over five years ago and they still handle nice. Good Choice!!

Becareful however because when I purchased them, I didnt realize how much my camber was thrown off and I had to install an aftermarket camber kit. Integras dont have adjustable cambers. Anyways that was after I unknowingly ate through FOUR TIRES!!!!!

the prokit was the best setup I liked on my car and i've tried almost everything that was available for it. They just weren't low enough for me so I switched to the sportlines. I definately miss the prokit though :(

I'm putting Progress Group's lowering springs (1.3" front & rear) and their adjustable rear sway bar on my Mz3 when they get here in a couple of weeks.

It's hard to wait, but it's not as though my car doesn't already handle pretty well anyhow. :)

After that, it's a CAI, then exhaust.

Any comments on whether you should put in AEM's water block gadget on the CAI?

my buddy use to be the head of R&D for AEM and basically says the bypass valve isn't really needed. You just need to use common sense :) Don't go starting the car and flooring it when you are submerged in water. I drove around w/o a fender liner for 3 years through rain, etc and had no problems :)

I love my rear Progress sway bar! Best addition to my car yet!

Wayyy into the future (next year) once I detail my car to perfection and do a bunch of mainetence stuff I *may* consiter springs for my civic. I want a stock ride, not "slammed" look, and for a good price. (may not even get springs/strut/camber) Basically I want the whole car to not look/sound modified; just a few tastefull, conservative mods.

Hey 2001civicex,

Geez, couldn't you have waited until I got mine in before you posted:

As if I wasn't haven't having enough problems waiting! Well, you can't leave me hanging like this. Why is it your best mod? What mods is it better than? What.....ok, I'll stop now....(that sound you hear is me chomping at the bit.) The guys doing it for me say I won't believe how she handles when she's done....they figure I'll be into the 9's on the skid pad (sheepish confession: I don't really understand what that means.:o )

Hey mnbv,

What's up? You come into the car customizing forum and diss those of us with different mod tastes and goals than yours? Or am I missing something?

I was basically ok with what your were saying, until you described your intended mods as "tasteful." Since they're more conservative than lots of others here, you're effectively saying the others' mods are distasteful, right? (I believe the term for a distasteful mod is "rice.")

I think maybe you got off at the wrong bus stop.

LMAO!

It is the best mod because my body roll went to the birds. I took my car to Hell, MI and drove on some back roads (the roads Road and Track and Car and Driver use to so their test) and this was before the drop...the car stayed so flat through the turns is was great! :D

Hey 2001civicex,

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly!

Unfortunately, it didn't help. :(

I'm going to call around, see if I can get myself into one of those Cryptogenic tanks for a couple of weeks. The mechanic can let me out once my springs and bar are in. ;)
