Spring Specials

This will be my first time operating from a fixed location during good detailing weather i.e spring & Summer Now keep in mind that I still have my full time job from 7:30 - 3:30 M-F and typically use time in the evenings and or weekends to detail/wash cars. What kind of reasonable spring special could I run to get a steady flow of customers but not to get overloaded? Any feedback would be most helpful.

I used to offer discounts and coupons and have found that the clientelle that responded wasn't what I wanted. If your doing this part time I would suggest charging what your worth and let the big guys who work in volume offer discounts.

One thing I don't remember seeing mentioned here by the pro's is referrals.
You, know, where an existing customer gets some kind of spiff if a new customer mentions that they were sent by them.
You aren't out anything unless there are results. Maybe even give them a few business cards to pass around. I stress few simply because if you give them too many, they don't put any value on them.
A small discount for the new cusomer's first visit might help.:dunno

Just a couple of thoughts from someone that knows nothing about the business.:)
