Sprayway glass cleaner...1st impressions

The wife was at Sam's Club and brought home a 3-pack of Sprayway. I'd never tried it before so I gave it a whirl on my rear window (which has to be possessed by a smear demon, along with his friends Haze and Film).

I tried to keep things simple by taking a clean M/F and spraying the cleaner on the towel instead of the glass. After a few swipes, I could see the glass becoming markedly cleaner, but then the friction levels between the towel and the glass rose. I flipped the towel to the dry side and began wiping again. At first there were the same high levels of friction and I began thinking "Great, it's gonna clean one layer of gunk off, only to leave another." Then suddenly, the towel "broke free" and was sliding smoothly over the glass. I repeated the process on the other half of the window (Cavalier remember, it's easier to do one side at a time...at least it is for my exceptionally proportioned back-side). The results were the same, spray towel, wipe, heavy drag...switch to dry side, heavy drag, sudden 'break free,' easy buffing. Then I gave the whole window a final wiping with the dry side and poured myself out of the backseat to examine the work. I was surprised, the glass was absolutely spotless, not a streak or smear to be seen. and other than having to be a contortionist to get to my back window, it was actually easy gettng the glass so clear.

PS: I even tried it on my work car's windshield, which gets nasty beyond belief...It worked just as well there, leaving the glass crystal clear. A definate keeper/go to product.

i use sprayway and like it as well, my boss uses it as one of our supplies and for 1.79 @ walmart in the home cleaning section its economical as well

I've tried it as well, after having it recomended by a couple of glass installers.
the only thing that gets me is that it seems to have a "funky" smell, not to sure how to describe it other than funky

I have had good luck with it. I just spray on the window and then wipe off. I always will follow with a clean towel, no chemicals, to finish up. Its pretty cheap too. The only thing I dont like is that when you spray it , it really would spray out everywere and make a mess. I just barely spray it now and no problem.

Used SprayWay for the first time today. I absolutely love it. My windows were filthy.I sprayed the cleaner on the glass. A microfiber was used to wipe/clean my windows. They were spotless. No streaks! I'll have to be on the lookout for this product.Btw I am a Stoner's Invisible Glass guy.

Would you say that it's better than or about the same as Stoner's IG??

I'll use them both in a side by on my wife's car and get back to you Norah.I'm leaning towards SprayWay. My micro glided over the glass as I wiped it clean.Don't remember Invisible Glass being this easy
Hey Charles in my opinion you can't go wrong with Stoner's.

I have both and found both to work very well, I used sprayway in my front room and I had the storms ons the double hungs all up (thats 4 pieces of glass) and it looked like there was no glass in the windows at all.

Plus you can find sprayway in most supermarkets so you can sneak the detailing supplies in right along with the groceries :shifty:
