Spray & Wipe on tires?

CharlesW

The Rainmaker
The last three cleanups that I did with S&W, I used the S&W on the tires as well as the wheels. It seemed to do a pretty decent job of cleaning them and they looked good afterwards. I'm not one of the shiny tire folks and use 303 on my tires about once a month. After the S&W, they still had a black matte finish. Not like fresh dressed tires, but definitely acceptable.
Anyone else tried this?
Any problems that anyone thinks of?

I do that all the time Charles...usually before putting a dressing on as it cleans the tire well and leaves it squeeky clean, or if it's my work van, flat black is more than good enough:)

Can you cut S&W with water for use in cleaning the wheel wells? What would be a good ratio? I plan on using a lot of S&W over the winter (just got me a gallon), so I want it to last. the rest of the car would get S&W full strength of course, just looking to see if I could stretch it for the wheel wells.

Thanks

that's a hard call. it would depend on how much dirt is in the wheel well.
I'd make sure you use a lot of dressings in the wells so that as little as possible will stick and then you can dilute the S & W with no problems
