Spray sealant test

As I'm waxing one day, I think to myself... why am I waxing when I could simply spray on a liquid and wipe with about the same benefits?

Here is my test to find out which product could save me the most time, have the most durability, easiest to use and closest to looks.

I will continue to update this thread with videos of beading and durability.

Also, I realized some of these products need to "cure" before slickness is amplified so I will update that tomorrow along with a day 1 beading video.

Test subject is my hood. Cleaned and IPA wipe down, there was no beading on it before I used IPA so my last LSP was dead anyways.

Smell - kind of like candy? good smell
Paint darkness - 3rd place out of 4
Slickness - 1st place out of 6

Ease of use - Below average, smeared and streak. lots of wipe to get it clear
Smell - None that I could remember when sprayed
Paint darkness - 2nd place out of 4
Slickness - 3rd place out of 6

Cool test! I've found that BF Crystal seal feels somewhat slick right after application, but a day or two later it's super slick! I applied it to my dad's truck on Sunday, and I ran my fingers across the paintwork Tuesday night and had to double back because it was so slick. My dad described it today(Tuesday)as feeling "like the car was covered in olive oil or something"

My first time using it was today on my Civic, I was disappointed initially about the slickness but after I got done with this test and went back to touch it. It improved to quite a bit. Excited to see how it feels tomorrow morning

Awesome- these don't get as much attention as they used to.
I'm hoping for l good things from UPGP, as it's one of my favorites.

My first experience with it wasn't quite as good as the following for some reason. I did my mom's CX-5 hood for my first use and it wasn't quite as slick as I was hoping for and it still isn't. But I've also used it on the glass and wheels of my car and on the paint of my dad's truck and absolutely love it! Hope your results are great too!
Just FYI, I did a wash and light decon and a quick IPA wipedown before applying it

Very nice. Saw you posted this over on Reddit last night too. Did you have any issues with Reload streaking?

i had minor oily substance but came right off with a dry MF towel. the hydro2lite had more streaking/oily but it also came up after "buffing" it in more

It's funny but on my own car, I've never been happy with Carpro Reload despite the hype. I don't enjoy working harder than I have to. It's always been a struggle. I love BF crystal seal. So easy it hurts. Looks great too.

Interesting test. I was surprised that you gave Prima only a 1 of out 6 in terms of slickness. I found it to be very slick every time I used it.

Day 1 update

It drizzled a little this morning so when I walked out, the paint was already beady. you'll see in the 1st video.

They all seem to be beading and sheeting fine right now. interesting to see how different products sheet and bead. On the last video you can see the right side sheet slower and cleaner (spray on walk away products) while the left side bead and sheets fast but leave behind spots (carpro stuff side). At one point the left side sheeted so quickly I had to jump back to avoid water on my shoes

so far none of them have improved in slickness and i will try to continue this update every week or so

It's interesting you've also found BF CS to be not that slick. I've used WG liquid seal and Opti-Seal and they're not as slick as even Uber Rinseless as detail spray.

My first time using it was yesterday on my Civic, I did the whole vehicle. It did improve a little slickness after a few hours.. it sat in the garage over night and I felt up on it again this morning. No improvements in slickness. Wax definitely has an upper hand on that.

When I use hydro2lite as spray and rinse though, it does add a good amount of slick. Close enough to think its wax
