SpeedFreak Detailed: Nicklas Backstrom's Blk '09 SL63 AMG

Been a while since I posted a detail, getting a bit backed up so here is one from a month or so ago. The owner of Designo Motoring in Sterling, VA has a lot of athlete clientele from the Redskins, Capitals, and Wizards sports teams. I'm a huge NHL/Caps fan so when he asked me to perform a correction on Nick Backstrom's black SL63 AMG I was stoked! It had apparently been vandalized and was in pretty bad shape. Some of the scratches were too deep to remove, so they remain. I was VERY pressed for time so I didn't get to take many pictures. The car had your typical heavy swirling, RIDS, and some deep scratches on the front bumper, and door.

Great work man. I would just like to comment on one thing if You didn't mind. I would blur out that liceanse plate. Its great owners allow us to share our work on forums, but consider other people even more so when there a public figure. Other then that looks like you have a great client. Keep us the good work.

I do understand where Barry is coming from. I love the detail, and appreciate who it belongs to.

Nonetheless, the license plate doesn't need to be seen by the morons who troll around, looking for such stuff.

The owner may not be driving it much for a while, as the Caps took down the Bruins. He will be on the ice a little longer.

Thanks for sharing!

Gorgeous warehouse as well. Those black epoxy floors are the WORST to keep clean. Ask me how I know

You're right they are, and they get mopped pretty much after every time I'm done with a correction!

As a devout Caps fan and a fellow NoVa resident I envy you. Fantastic work. I sat next to Backstrom at a restaurant here in Arlington a few weeks ago, nice guy.
