SpeedFreak Detailed: Black CTS-V Coupe Massive correction

Another job at Pro Shield in Sterling VA, from a couple months back that I never got around to posting. I was at David's shop getting ready to do the LeMans Blue 335i from the other thread when he asked me to look at a car that had just been dropped off. This virtually brand new Caddy was a NIGHTMARE. It was fairly obvious it had been washed improperly, and my suspicions were confirmed when the owner picked it up. He explained that he took it down to the local Sud Spot at least once a week for it's "bath." After pointing out everything to him under the halogens, & educating him on proper wash practices, we settled on a full front end correction prior to the Venture Shield.

Various shots of the hood showing MASSIVE defects, a sad state of affairs for this 4k mile beast.

Probably the coolest pic I've seen on this site all year.

Very nice.

that paint looks 10feet deep! The orange peel looks relatively moderate on it too-is that the case or is it just not really perceivable in your photos?

I'm honored to see a comment like that Jeff!

The car was relatively orange peel free. In my experience, most GM paints esp. black are nowhere near as bad as some from say BMW. The amount that of orange peel I routinely see on those cars is RIDICULOUS. M105 and PFW is a pretty aggressive combo though, and I've noticed a slight "smoothing" effect on certain finishes so that may lend itself to the surface appearing flatter.

Now, that looks, AWESOME!!!!!

How long did it take to get it looking like?

Thanks! Start to finish took me about 5 or so hours.
