Doing a couple cars with OC2 in the near future. What stores sell Isopropyl Alcohol and what volume do I need for wipe down of 2 vehicles?

Is 15% the std mix or will I need to cut with distilled water?

Any store with a pharmacy should have it. Just look for anywhere that has a first aid section. You will probably buy either 70% or 90%. Use distilled water to cut it down to 15% or so

Yeah. Just add the water to cut it down to 15%. The stuff in those bottles is simply the isopropyl alcohol and water. you just add more water to make it a lower % of alcohol

when you say 15%…are you saying to use 15% of IPA in a container of 85% water.

Or are you saying cut 70% IPA solution down to a 15% IPA solution. There is a big difference.

last year people were saying 30% of std IPA soln in a container the rest water.

Please clarify. Thanks

Mike Phillips wrote a great article with clear instructions on how to dilute IPA depending on which percentage you have: How to Mix IPA for Inspecting Correction Results - Auto Geek Online Auto Detailing Forum

Can you guys tell me why? I have loved a lot of car pro products and I never thought to try this one because IPA is so cheap and available and I never had an issue with it. I mix with distilled water and usually work with a about a 60/40 split (60 being water) to remove polish residue and I use a 85/15 split to wipe down before a coating.

What am I missing?

Thanks in advance.

Use CarPro Eraser and you will not likely want to use IPA again.
