What is the major difference between the Sonus SFX Foam Polishing Pads and the Sonus Dual-Action System Foam Pads?

I see one is flat back and the other has a recessed back. Is the foam different?

Is the SFX like these? http://www.autogeek.net/vcpad.html

I can't stand those foam pads that absorb the product like those flat ones. I had 3 of the white ones that I bought a while ago (they had a smaller velcro back that was 5"). I threw them out after one use. I used it on one panel, took off and threw in the garbage.

Are the Dual-Action System Foam Pads like the Propel pads at Excel?

Just curious about the foam and what makes them different.

I have the SFX pads. The SFX pads are flat on both sides, nothing is recessed. The SFX pads are a bit denser than the DAS pads so I was told they may have a little more bite when polishing. Because this is the only pad set I have, I can't compare to anything else.

The Das and Propel ones look very alike.

Comparing the SFX and DAS though, the SFX ones are made of much denser foam, and work better for me on more intensive tasks. They seem to stay wetter for longer in use.
