Sonus Pad question for PC

Okay I purchased the sonus pc 7424 kit, it came with three pads, orange/green/blue. from what i've read, it seems to me that I should use the blue (finishing pad) to apply my AIO. Then after that apply UPP with the blue, and if I want to put some carnauba wax over that, i also apply that with the blue pad. Am I correct about this??? if so I have to buy two more blue pads so I dont' have to wash and dry them between coats. Please let me know if I'm on the right track, i'm kind of a newb.
 
Well, you could use the green pad with the AIO...but really, you can apply the UPP and the carnauba by hand, using a hand applicator. Or you could get extra pads as you say.
 
Really Scooby unless you want to waste your UPP or any other sealant - apply it by hand . I know the desire to get use out of the PC at every moment you can is there since you just got it , but why waste product ? Using the pc to apply sealants uses a LOT more product than by hand .

Orange for scratches and heavy swirls , green for light swirls and blue for cleaners ( such as AIO ) and final polishing .

If you want to go local , just go to AutoZone and pick up some Meguiar's goodies .

Yellow Foam applicators and some supreme Shine MF towels for removal and QD duty .
 
You are on the right track, Orange and green for the corrective work and the blue for the LSP's. If you must use the PC for the sealants(I love too BTW) get a few extra Green and blue pads.
 
OT or not?

I used my green DAS pad with Mothers PowerPolish on my friend’s cars - some scratches - week ago. I was not successful with removing them, tried orange one as well and not much of improvement. I think I have to work on my PC (used 3 to apply 5 to 6 polish in) speed and how fast I move PC along the paint. Thing is, when I was cleaning my green pad - pressing with my fingers after soaking - it looked like most of the MPP I used ended up in the pad itself - is it normal?

I have DAS blue and Sonus Final Finish (SFX-3) blue Love the second one to apply wax:) DAS blue is my back up now :)

My experiernce is just the opposite; I tend to get a thinner coat and use less product overall when I use the PC and a finishing pad. If I really want to stretch whatever LSP I'm using, I'll use a 4" spot finishing pad instead of a 6". The 4" is really not much bigger than a hand applicator, so there's really no product waste, and the PC does a better job than my aging shoulders.

I have a pad that I use for nothing but applying my P21S. When I'm finished with the pad it goes in a Ziplock bag. I don't wash it very often. The wax stays fresh on the pad in its baggie.
 
Ditto on using less product. When I apply by hand I usually end up using way more wax than I need, which in turn makes it more difficult to remove.
