Sonus DAS grey pad?

Hi,

Can someone help, does this grey Sonus Das pad exist?

I've just received a PC and a Sonus DAS pad kit from Autopia, the Sonus pads look to be top quality BTW. During my research I'm sure I've read references to a grey pad in the Sonus Das range and even seen pictures of it. Has this pad been superceded or removed from the range?

Thanks

Submariner,

The grey pad was removed from the line b/c there was little difference between it and the blue pad. The blue pad has a bit more density. Both the blue and the grey pads offer no cutting ability.

David,

Thanks, I guessed that was the case. So the 3 grades (Orange, Green and Blue ) should be all I need to stock up on then. I'm looking forward to trying them out.

Thanks again.

How do you guys remove the wax from the pads? I've tried soaking them in Dawn but am still able to squeeze some product out of the pad when wringing it out. Also, do you use one product exclusively with one pad? In other words, you donâ€â„¢t use the same pad with multiple products even after cleaning?

I've found I need to use a lot of Dawn to really get the pads clean. I squirt the Dawn right onto the dirty pad and work it in. Then drop the pads in a bucket of water.

I use multiple products on the same pad; but ONLY after thoroughly cleaning the pad with LOTS of Dawn.

Mikeman out.

I prefer the blue for light polishing. Not for its ability to speak of, but for its ability to contain light polish products. The Grey is a LSP type, GREAT for applying polymers!

Interesting ... I got my Autopia kit a few weeks ago when the grey pad was still in it. It is good to know there is little difference between the two.
