Here goes my first real review.
David B. was nice enough to send me a bottle of the Sonüs Paintwork Cleanser to try. Being a big fan of the P21S, I decided to do a side by side comparison.
I don't have a camera to show the differences so I'll try to describe them as best I can.
I will say that both of these products have thier +'s & -'s!
I started by doing a QD using Z6 on the hood of my truck, but I did not remove all of the product, just enoug to remove the dust and allow the Z6 to dry on the hood, causing a haze to work with.
I left the crease in the middle hazed with Z6 so I could judge the 2 products better.
I applied the Sonüs on the passenger side of the hood, using an MF applicator primed with a small spray of Z6. It applied very easily and smooothly.
I applied the P21S the same way using a fresh applicator.
I allowed both products to sit for 5 minutes (I did this during my lunch break at work, so I didn't have time to let it sit).
The Sonüs was very easy to remove and left no oils on the paint when I buffed it off. I can't say the same for the P21S, I had to buff quite a while to get it all off the paint.
The end result was a bit surprising. The P21S side was a bit darker than the Sonüs side, but the clarity of the reflection in the Sonüs side was better (not a lot, but it was more clear).
The Sonüs did a better job at hiding the mior paint flaws than the P21S, and it was smoother to the touch.
I am going to rerun this test on my mom's black Trailblazer when I get a chance. Black should give be a lot easier to see the differences than my blue truck.
Also, I have found that the P21S works wonders on scratched plastic Jeep Wrangler windows. I am going to try both products side by side on my friends Wrangler tomorrow at work and get pictures of the outcome.
All in all I am very pleased by the Sonüs, but I didn't think the differences were going to be this noticable. I think I may have found a new paint cleanser!
