Something a little different!

I`m back! I took a few weeks off to get out of the SW Florida heat and humidity! Mrs. Sizzle and I went up to our cabin in the mountains of North Carolina (outside of Asheville) to relax and chill out a bit!

Well...as we all know...ya just can`t keep us crazies down for an extended period of time without detailing something! LOL

We purchased new leather furniture, 2 full sized sofas, and they were just begging to get coated to protect them from whatever they could be subjected to!

GYEON Leather Shield fit the bill perfectly!

It darkened the leather just a little bit, but after curing it was not that noticeable. It did make the surfaces a bit slick! But not so much as we had to watch out for sliding off, LOL! Glad I got to do a project as well as protect our new stuff!

Nice couch.

Do you need to worry about hi spots with leather coatings ? Is there a prep product first ?

Nice job.

^^^You can get high spots/areas that have `too much` on it from my experience. You just need to make sure you are doing even coats and you will be OK. No prep product due to these being brand new, they only received a quick wipe down with a damp MF towel.

Thanks everyone!

I like seeing these products used for other purposes. I have a lot of BF Crystal Seal I use on mirrors and bathrooms.
I live a couple of hours from Asheville and love the mountains there and East TN.

I wonder how this would do on some dress shoes.

Definitely need to pick some of this up. Have you used any other leather coatings before?

Thanks everyone!

Chopper--it`s great country there!

Yes, have used Gtechniq, Beeds, and GYEON before.

I have done shoes before, and fabric coated some sneakers too! Works great!

I liked it. I just don`t believe the durability/longevity is on par with the GYEON. They say 3months. I thought I saw that GYEON was 12mo`s but can`t find it to back it up.
